My story

Twists and Turns

If you made it to this page, you deserve to know who on earth Irina is and why she left the comfy rooms of higher education to establish a coaching and training practice.

Like many highly educated professionals, I spent years pursuing ambitious goals that weren’t quite mine. I have been successful in most of my endeavors, used to have a clear life direction, and an appropriate skillset. However, a few years down the road, I hit unfamiliar territory with challenges I’ve never seen before: an unfulfilling job, lack of meaning, unbalanced work & life. I felt stuck, frustrated, confused, and overwhelmed. Old strategies failed and I was at a complete loss as for what to do next. I did what I do best-researched my options until I found the academic development field that fit me more than a STEM lab. This was the time and place where I discovered the benefits of coaching. I witnessed how regular coaching sessions can uncover hidden potential, help to achieve goals, and simply transform lives.

Skeptical, I spent days plowing through literature to understand why and how coaching works. At one point, I had enough learning and was ready to put my knowledge to work. Hence, I switched my career again to become a full-time coach and a trainer. Every day I help people find fulfilling lives and help organizations to create engaging workplaces for top-notch scientific talent.
